The Balloon Payload Program at the University of Maryland has launched more than 100 balloons since its creation in 2004. BPP projects have included scientific data collection, engineering development, and educational outreach. During its history, BPP has worked with of variety of groups including UMD SSL and HAPL, professors from the AOSC and Physics departments and Capital Technical University. BPP has participated in NASA RockSat-C, RockSat-X, NASA/LaSPACE HASP, and AAS CANSAT.
